TV Leaderboard

Is there a free alternative to datacube for a service shop?

Yes. SOS Lite is a free datacube alternative for shops that want a technician leaderboard and a KTI dashboard without a software integration. Its TV Leaderboard ranks techs by trade on revenue, close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate. You or your service manager enter the numbers. datacube pulls them from ServiceTitan automatically and charges a quoted price.

What datacube.ai is

datacube.ai is a dashboard product for home service companies. Everything below is from datacube.ai, read October 12, 2026.

It connects to ServiceTitan, Workiz, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, QuickBooks, and what it calls 50 or more other platforms, and pulls the data automatically. You pick from prebuilt boards by department: Live Stats, CSR, Sales, Service, Install, Marketing, Reviews, and Financial. Boards show on desktop, mobile, and TV. Digital leaderboards and contests with prizes and rankings are one feature inside that.

datacube builds the dashboards for you. The process is a demo, a data mapping call, dashboard development by their team, a one-on-one onboarding call, and ongoing support. Trades listed on the site are plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and garage door. Multi-location shops can view branches together or side by side.

datacube pricing

datacube does not publish prices. The pricing page says they build a plan for each business. Plans split at single-location shops with 12 or fewer employees and shops with 12 or more. A small-team plan is described as all employee types on one board.

SelectHub, a third-party software review site, lists datacube as quote-based at roughly $10 to $100 per user per month as of 2026. That is their estimate, not a datacube price. datacube's own terms describe a paid subscription that renews automatically and is not refundable. Get the quote in writing with the term and the renewal date before you sign.

What SOS Lite is

SOS Lite is the free plan of the Service Operating System from Team SPG. It includes the owner Dashboard, Goals, Technician KTIs, CSR KTIs, the Weekly Scorecard, the TV Leaderboard, and team accounts for your techs and CSRs. There is no per-tech charge. SOS Pro adds paid features on top. See teamspg.com for what each plan includes.

The TV Leaderboard groups techs by trade and ranks them by revenue. Next to each name it shows close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate. An arrow shows who moved up or down since last period. You pick current month, last month, year to date, or last 30 days. It refreshes every minute and pairs to any TV with a browser in about two minutes.

The numbers come from the owner or service manager. You enter each tech's calls ran, calls sold, revenue, maintenance plan opportunities and sales, and callbacks, daily or weekly, from a phone or a computer. There is also a CSV upload if you already keep the numbers in a spreadsheet or can export a CSV from your dispatch software. SOS does not connect to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or any other dispatch software.

Who datacube fits

A shop that already runs ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro with clean job data. It has an office manager who wants marketing and financial dashboards and wants someone else to build them. Usually 12 or more employees, often more than one location. If you want the board to fill itself in from the CRM with no typing, that is what datacube sells.

Who SOS Lite fits

A shop with 1 to 20 trucks that wants the techs looking at a board every morning. The owner wants to know each tech's close rate and average ticket without a spreadsheet. The owner or service manager can spare five minutes a day to enter numbers. The shop may or may not have field service software, and the data in it may not be clean enough to feed a board anyway.

SOS Lite does not replace the marketing, review, and financial boards. It replaces the part most 3 to 12 tech shops actually use: the tech board and the KTI numbers behind it.

The other datacube alternatives on page one

Plecto. A KPI dashboard and gamification tool for sales, support, and service teams. It connects to ServiceTitan. Priced at $24 or $37.20 per tracked licence per month, minimum 10 licences, billed annually, checked September 2026.

Vulcan Score (TradeVulcan). A scorecard product for home service shops that publishes its own datacube alternative page. Check their site for pricing and integrations.

Looker Studio. Free from Google. You connect a spreadsheet or a data export and build the board yourself. It costs your time, and nothing calculates close rate or average ticket until you write the formula.

Every paid option on page one assumes a connection to your dispatch software. The free options are Looker Studio, which you build, and SOS Lite, which is built.

How to try SOS Lite this week

  1. Sign up for SOS Lite for free using the link at the bottom of this page.
  2. Add each tech with his trade. Set close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan goals per trade on the Goals page.
  3. Enter last month's KTIs by hand or by CSV so the board has a starting point.
  4. On the shop TV, open a browser to app.teamspg.com/tv and type the code into SOS. The setup video shows each step.
  5. Enter each tech's numbers daily or weekly for one month. Then decide if you need anything else.

If you want to know why the board shows these five numbers, read what numbers a technician leaderboard should show. For the full field of leaderboard tools, read sales leaderboard software for technicians.

Related questions

Does SOS connect to ServiceTitan like datacube does?

No. SOS does not connect to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Workiz, FieldEdge, or any other dispatch software. The owner or service manager enters each tech's KTIs daily or weekly, or uploads a CSV exported from your dispatch software. If automatic pulls are a must, datacube or Plecto is the right fit.

How much does datacube cost?

datacube does not publish prices as of October 2026. Plans are quoted and split at single-location shops with 12 or fewer employees and shops with 12 or more. SelectHub's third-party estimate is $10 to $100 per user per month. Get the quote, term, and renewal date in writing.

Is SOS Lite really free, or is there a catch?

The TV Leaderboard, Dashboard, Goals, KTIs, CSR KTIs, and Weekly Scorecard are in SOS Lite at no cost. There is no per-tech charge and no credit card. SOS Pro is the paid plan with more features. See teamspg.com for what each includes.

Can I use datacube and SOS Lite together?

Yes. Keep datacube for the marketing, review, and financial boards in the office. Put the SOS TV Leaderboard in the break room for the techs. The two do not share data, so you would enter KTIs in SOS on their own.

What contests should I run on a technician leaderboard?

Run one contest at a time, on one number, for two to four weeks. The best technician contests use close rate, maintenance plan rate, average ticket, or percent of revenue goal, not raw revenue. Read the standings off the TV Leaderboard in SOS Lite and the owner dashboard. Announce the prize before day one.

What numbers should a technician leaderboard show?
