TV Leaderboard
What leaderboard software works for technicians instead of sales reps?

Most sales leaderboard software ranks reps on calls, emails, and deals pulled from a CRM, and charges per user. A technician has no CRM and no dial count. The TV Leaderboard in SOS Lite ranks techs by trade on revenue, close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate. It is free. You or your service manager enter the numbers.
Why a sales leaderboard built for reps does not fit a service shop
Search for sales leaderboard software and page one is Spinify, SalesScreen, Plecto, Ambition, and Hoopla. All five were built for a sales floor. They connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive and rank reps on the activity the CRM records: dials, emails, demos, and closed deals.
A plumbing, HVAC, or electrical tech produces none of those numbers. He does not dial. Dispatch hands him his calls, so the number of calls he runs is not his to control. What he controls is what happens in the house. Did he sell the job, how big was the ticket, and did he offer the maintenance plan?
A sales team leaderboard that ranks on CRM activity has nothing to rank a tech on. You would have to invent points and type them in. That is the first thing to check before you buy any tool: does it rank the numbers a tech actually controls?
The three kinds of sales leaderboard tool, and what each costs

| SOS Lite TV Leaderboard | Service technicians | Owner or manager enters KTIs | Free |
Per-user CRM tools. Spinify, SalesScreen, Plecto, and Ambition. Every one needs a working CRM connection, and the bill goes up with each person you add. A 10-tech shop on Spinify's $15 plan pays $1,800 a year. On Ambition it pays $5,400 to $9,000 a year. These tools add badges, levels, and contest animations on top of the ranking.
Flat-rate scoreboards. Leaderboarded, MakeTheBoard, BoardQ, TrackScore. One price for the whole team, no CRM needed. You pick a metric name, type in a number for each person, and the board ranks them on a TV. They are a sales leaderboard app in the plainest sense: a ranked list of numbers you supply.
SOS Lite. Free. Built only for service shops. The owner or service manager enters each tech's KTIs, and the board does the math for close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate. It ranks techs inside their trade and shows who moved up or down.
What the flat-rate tools and SOS have in common, and where they differ
Both skip the CRM. Both run on a TV. Both take minutes to set up. The difference is what you type in and what the board does with it.
On a flat-rate sales leaderboard tool, you type a score. If you want close rate on the board, you calculate it yourself and type the percentage. If you want average ticket, you divide revenue by jobs sold and type that too. For six techs that is twelve calculations a day, every day, or the board goes stale.
In SOS you enter the raw KTI numbers once: calls ran, calls sold, revenue, maintenance plan opportunities and sales. The board turns those into close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate on its own. The same entries feed the owner dashboard, the Goals page, and the Weekly Scorecard, so you never enter a number twice.
What the TV Leaderboard in SOS Lite shows
The board groups techs by trade and ranks them by revenue. Next to each name it shows close rate, average ticket, and maintenance plan rate. An arrow shows who moved up or down since the last period, and a tech new to the board gets a NEW tag.
You pick the period: current month, last month, year to date, or last 30 days. The board refreshes every minute. When a trade has more than five techs it rotates through pages every ten seconds.
Pairing takes two minutes. Open a browser on the shop TV, go to app.teamspg.com/tv, and type the code it shows into SOS. The setup video walks through it. If you want to know why the board shows these five numbers and not others, read what numbers a technician leaderboard should show.
Who SOS is not for
Be clear on this before you sign up. SOS does not connect to ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Workiz, FieldEdge, or any other dispatch software. The owner or service manager enters each tech's numbers daily or weekly from a phone or a computer. There is also a CSV upload if you already keep the numbers in a spreadsheet or can export a CSV from your dispatch software.
If you run ServiceTitan and you want the board to fill itself in, SOS is the wrong tool. Look at Plecto, which connects to ServiceTitan and prices per licence, or datacube, which builds department dashboards from ServiceTitan data on a quoted price. We cover that choice in the datacube comparison.
If you have 1 to 20 trucks and you can spare five minutes a day to enter numbers, SOS Lite does the job for free. Most shops that size do not have dispatch software data clean enough to feed a board anyway.
How to pick
Ask three questions.
- Where do the numbers come from? If your dispatch software has clean tech-level data, a tool that connects to it can pull the numbers. If not, you will be typing numbers no matter what you buy, so pay nothing for the typing.
- Does the board calculate close rate and average ticket, or do you? Points you type in hide the real numbers. A board that does the math shows a tech his real close rate without a spreadsheet.
- Does the price grow with the crew? Per-user tools cost more every time you hire. Flat-rate tools and SOS Lite do not.
For a service shop, that usually leaves SOS Lite or a flat-rate scoreboard. SOS Lite is free and does the math. Start there and pair the TV this week.
Related questions
What is the best sales leaderboard software for a small team?
For a sales team with a CRM, Spinify sells online from $9 per user per month as of October 2026 with no minimum. For a team with no CRM, Leaderboarded and MakeTheBoard have free plans and flat paid plans. For service technicians, the TV Leaderboard in SOS Lite is free and ranks the five numbers a tech controls.
Is there a sales leaderboard app for technicians?
Yes. SOS Lite works on a phone and a computer. You or your service manager enter each tech's KTIs from either one, and the board on the shop TV updates within a minute. Techs do not enter their own numbers unless you turn on that permission for their team account.
Does SOS pull data from ServiceTitan or my dispatch software?
No. The owner or service manager enters each tech's numbers daily or weekly, or uploads a CSV exported from your dispatch software. If automatic pulls from ServiceTitan are a must, look at Plecto or datacube instead.
How much does sales leaderboard software cost?
As of October 2026, per-user tools run $9 to $75 per user per month. Some require a 10 or 15 user minimum or a multi-year term. Flat-rate scoreboards run $0 to $52 a month for the whole team. The TV Leaderboard in SOS Lite is free with no per-tech charge.
